Please submit a brief 60‑second video introducing who you are, share what the credit union difference means to you, and highlight your goals for the future. This helps us get to know you beyond your written application and understand your passion, personality, and potential as a future leader.

You must be currently enrolled in the 12th grade at a public, private, or accredited home school to be eligible.
You must be entering an undergraduate major at an accredited institution's business school for the first time to be eligible.

Guidelines for Presidential Scholarship Consideration
  • The applicant must be a primary member or child of a primary member of Georgia’s Own Credit Union for a minimum of three (3) months, and the account must be in good standing.
  • The applicant must be a Georgia resident.
  • The applicant must be entering an undergraduate course of study for the first time in 2026-27 at an accredited institution.
  • The applicant must be planning to seek a major within the institution’s business school.
  • The applicant must complete the application in full and provide accompanying documentation by the submission deadline.
  • Home school applicants are accepted as long as proper accreditation paperwork is provided.
  • Applicants who meet all of the above requirements will be eligible for scholarship entry.

Officers, Directors, Supervisory Committee Members, Employees, Vendors, Agents, Successors and Assignments of Georgia’s Own Credit Union and the Georgia’s Own Foundation and immediate family members (defined as spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children, and grandchildren) are not eligible to win above-mentioned scholarships. Entries will be judged by the Preter family in conjunction with a third-party panel of experts.
