Supporting Georgia’s Teachers This Back‑to‑School Season

Back to School Teacher Surprise Shopping Spree

As teachers across Georgia prepared for a new school year, Georgia’s Own Foundation helped lighten the load by surprising educators at Cascade Elementary School in Atlanta and Mitchell County Elementary School in Baconton with a Back‑to‑School Shopping Spree.

Public school teachers typically spend $500 to $750 of their own money each year on classroom supplies, so these surprise events provided meaningful relief. In total, we delivered $8,000 worth of essential items to help teachers stock their shelves with the tools they need to kick off the year strong.

We are grateful for the incredible work Georgia’s educators do every day—and proud to support them as they support our students.
