Growing the game for Georgia’s youth

Georgia’s Own Foundation partnered with Old Fourth Ward Soccer and Inter Atlanta FC to host a soccer clinic, bringing young athletes together for a day of skill-building, teamwork, and fun. The event created an exciting opportunity for participants to learn the game of soccer, while deepening their love for the sport in a supportive, community-centered environment.

In addition to the clinic, the Foundation extended its impact by donating more than 175 soccer balls to organizations across Albany, Atlanta, Augusta, and Kingsland—including the Albany Area YMCA, Inter Atlanta FC, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Augusta, and Camden Soccer. These donations are intended to encourage continued activity and participation in soccer long after the excitement of the tournament fades.

This initiative reflects Georgia’s Own Foundation’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for youth engagement and wellness. By supporting local organizations and expanding access to sports, the Foundation helps foster confidence, connection, opportunity, and healthy lifestyles throughout the communities we serve. As our home state hosts a major soccer tournament, this effort was a meaningful way to celebrate the energy surrounding the sport while giving back in a way that leaves a lasting impact.
