Back-to-school support for Georgia teachers

Back-to-School teachers in St. Marys

To help educators start the school year with the resources they need, we surprised teachers at four elementary schools across Georgia with back-to-school supply shopping experiences and classroom donations totaling more than $12,000. Teachers at Boyd Elementary School, Copeland Elementary, Mitchell County Elementary, and St. Marys Elementary were given access to essential classroom supplies that many educators typically purchase out of their own pockets, from notebooks and markers to tissues, cleaning supplies, and student snacks.

The initiative reflects Georgia’s Own’s commitment to supporting both educators and students in communities across the state. By helping teachers stock their classrooms before students arrive, Georgia’s Own is reducing financial burdens on educators and ensuring more resources are available to create engaging learning environments.

From metro Atlanta to South Georgia, these efforts demonstrate the meaningful impact that community partnerships can have on local schools. By investing in teachers and classrooms statewide, we continue to support student success and strengthen the communities it serves.
